In these quiet spaces, I become temporarily deaf to the meaningless noises that seek to define me. In these quiet spaces, my soul is nourished; surrounded by silence, my spirit soars upward. In these quiet spaces, my focus turns inward, knowing that His Presence is co-mingled with mine. In these quiet spaces, the renewing of my mind occurs as my life, is… humbled before Him. In these quiet spaces, His divine, sacred wind envelops my frail essence with indescribable peace. In these quiet spaces, consumed by His Presence, I sense undeniable power of God’s authentic Love. I like this..you know? we can go there and witness God`s love. when I first started reading this, the thought was different. everyday I get up and take a good look inside me. reminder what I did the day before, and what I`ll do today, or try. show kindness, tolerance, forgiveness..I always forgive myself and others at the end of the day.. this write reminds me of that very thing. good reading this. |

What a beautiful poem and reminds me of the hmyn by Ralph Carmichael - "There is a quiet place Far from the rapid pace Where God can soothe my troubled mind Sheltered by tree and flow´r There in my quiet hour With Him my cares are left behind". Every day I need this time of solitude to re-energise and feel close to God. Your poem is a nice reminder that we can find the quiet place anywhere....in the middle of a busy day or even the midst of chaos. Thanks for writing your lovely words. |
