Temples Fall |

Temples Fall Jesus said, "Destroy this temple, I will raise it again in three days." No one quite understood when he said this, It was his body that God would raise. A temple that took forty years to build? This brought laughter and much ridicule. Thus began the great Easter story We all learned of in our Sunday School. Now many grand buildings are falling, As war does its best to erase The evil that dwells within them. Will God's temple rise in this place? May Easter bring end to the madness, Taking place in this part of God's world. And God by whatever name he is known, Be the one whose flag is unfurled. By Joyce 3/23/903 |

Hi Joyce, very nice. your inspiration was originally fueled by the present day events. Then in the 3rd stanza you went off tangent a bit in a good way and a deeper spiritual way. Like, you were being guided by the input of the Holy spirit. Then your last stanza complement the 3rd in a very nice way and the entire poem. We convey our feelings thru poetry and I always wonder how much is being written w/their guidance. Enjoyed. mysticpoe |

Thanks a lot for your poem! Our scripture passage at church yesterday was exactly that, however that link was not made. I really like how it was put together, and so true. What will rise out of the ashes of all this destruction? What will Easter be like in a war-torn world? Thanks so much, great poem! |

Amen!!! God bless you and God bless those who battle to this end that the war will end quickly and, yes, at the end of it all may God's flag or standard be flown high and proud. Very good poetry and message shared here for our reading. Thank you. -Bob |
