Disheartened

Your love sees pure perfection
while mine sees your disgrace
and in my misdirection
I’m still looking for the place
where I can hide my sorrow
under mounds of happenstance
and not be found tomorrow
in progression of your glance
for every time I’m looking out
your love keeps looking in
relinquishing my fear and doubt
and every sign of sin
until I’m held as feeble
like an orphan in your care
whose love, so strained by people,
has no hope, but for repair
and that’s why, Lord, I’m thankful,
oh, so thankful you've been there.

God bless,
Lighthouse Bob

You make it all look so easy - technique wise and, yet you still can show that inner struggle.  I hope knowing that you have made me a fan of your poetry helps a tiny bit.

Your words perfectly describe our weakness and His loving strength.  Thank you for bringing His blessing to us.

Wishing you and yours a very happy Easter as we celebrate His resurrection!
