Awaken to Freedom

Just because you can
Does not mean you should
Choices have consequences
As dreamers have dreams
What you say today
Cannot be taken back tomorrow
Listen with your heart
And be in the moment
With every breath in
Breath in life
With every breath out
Breath out love
This moment is real
And all the selfishness
And all the fears
Belong to our ego
That serenades our souls
With past songs of deception
It lulls us to sleep
Ravishes our mental health
While it steals our joy
Yet when we become awake
In the awareness of God’s Love
Our our ego ceases to exist
In through the majesty of his truth
And in the gentleness of his Grace
That shines upon the darkest fears
Of our wounded captive hearts
Our strength is restored with his Love
That frees us to be in the moment
And experience his peace....
...that surpasses all understanding.

A profound, most beautiful poem, dear whisperingwalt! It expresses what I feel too and I agree "it surpasses all understanding"!

Welcome to Pip!
