The heavy cross
Upon his back
His burden is ours to bear
The most precious gift
He gave us life
A life we could not earn
Of our own will
But by faith alone
Do you carry the faith?
The faith it takes
To be the one people;
Talk about
Stare at
Whisper as you walk by
And really truly not care
Because you know
what's in store for you
Do you carry the faith?
The faith it take
To talk about Jesus
Because you love others
Even when they hate you?
Jesus hung on that cross for you and me
He took the pain because he loves us
He wants us to spend eternity with him
Will you?

Thank you for a very good read, although perhaps more a propos to Good Friday than to Easter?

Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection are both exceptionally powerful metaphors, as well as in my belief actual occurences. It's hard to explain, though. With God all things are possible!
