He was but a simpleton
So lovely in that
He would never question them
Never said a word
Then the whispers came
Such a shame when they came
For the simpleton became a brute
Took the village by the sword
Though he never did say a word

He was a lost soul
Never one to hesitate to complain
About misfortunes in his name
She held his hand through the harsh land
With her guidance he became a man
Took the lead of a thousand to come
They called him a god, well- At least some.

Very clever and astute analogy, LostPoet.  Very much appreciate and good for several reads.
Cheers
