Big Tree

On I go in faithful follow
to a land of thrush and swallow
where a big tree that is hollow
stirs in bird voice sing
and here do chipmunks acorns gather
and do caterpillars lather
though they’re thinking that they’d rather
not, but, so, it seems
they do so to grow wings
and here I am lost in the Spirit
doing all I can to hear it
and, then, it says, “Go! Get near it!”
and a word it brings,
“They’re worshiping the King!”

God bless,
Lighthouse Bob

Sounds sort of like me looking out our big window by the dinning table.  We have bird feeders and a huge maple tree out there.  A multitude of birds and a few squirrels come and go.  One can't help but wonder if they're singing praises.

Thanks much
Rae

Rae,

I'm so happy that you have a 'Big Tree' with birds and squirrels and such that you can enjoy and, yes, of course, they're singing praises and, you know what, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if you happened to venture out one day to join them.

Big smiles and God bless you my friend,

-Bob

I love the structure of the three rhyming lines and then one that doesn't.
It's a keeper Bob.
