The color glass shines down on the holy ground
While the rafters hold their place
I feel a sense of not belonging here
Have I fallen this far from Grace?

The angelic statues stare through stone eyes
Reminding me all of my secret shame
Though their lips are still
I feel all their blame.

Have I refused my chance at paradise?
Just to be left in the darkness I embraced
Do they forsaken my being like I did His?
Am I to be that easily erased?

Nice poem.  We've all felt this way at times, but it's us who've covered our eyes like a toddler, thinking God no longer sees us.  He sees us all the time.

God bless,
Rae

Where is God now? I'd say, He is still at the same place. "Just to be left in the darkness I embraced." You don't have to. For there is a light to lighten the Gentiles and the glory of Thy people Israel." St.Luke 2 V32. That is Jesus. Try seek after Him, and do according to His words; and you'll no longer have to be embracing the dakness. God Bless you, thanks for the poem.
