Borrowed wings We are all Gods Angels We're here on borrowed wings. He's testing our love and faith Helping us cope with what life brings. Sometimes we slip and fall We need his help along the way. Satan tries his best To lead us all astray. If your faith is strong And your love for life is real. Then God will intervene, When Satan tries to bend your will. When you're feeling lost Get on your knees and pray. Don't let the Devil tempt you Or he'll take your soul away. Some of us lose our wings God takes, one feather for each sin. Although God walks beside us It's up to us, not to let the Devil win. Have faith in God and yourself Then you can deal with what life brings. Remember that you're not alone We're all here on borrowed wings. Ellen |

W E L C O M E  This is a wonderful and sweet poem not only in acknowledgment that there are angels amongst us, but that we are like the angels as I also do believe one day we will truly be. When we reach Heaven, if we will be like angels with full plumage or with tattered wings, as you have written, much of the result will surely be according to the choices that we make here on Earth. Ellen your poem is nice. I especially like the last part. I know for a fact that without God, life here would be unbearable. As for the feathers being taken for each sin== I am glad that that part is not true. For Jesus has done that already for me.  Isaiah 40:31 They that wait on the Lord! |
