Amber colors flicker from a fireplace
Sedating me from my aching heart
Melting away the sorrows
from the cutting words of my tongue.
Last night we both argued over
the passions of my jealous heart.
I want to take it all away
have a fresh start.
Wounds cut as deep as a sword
Cut through to my heart
In anguish,   I pray to the lord
To change me from distrust
My pain from my past, its injuries.
I pray for the ability to change.
I wish for new daydreams
Where angels of trust abide
I can now look upon the flickering fireplace
With a effervescent smile written in my heart
Knowing I need not be afraid
Jealously has faded away replaced by
The Holy Ghost, where Jesus abides and forgives.
