The Pauper King

Oh gallant king with your crown of gold, I kneel down to thee.
Noble truth of wisdom past, I see the greatness onto thy cast
For I knew thee once ....in time gone by,
In times of need..... thou stood by.
Let me be..... O' noble king,
A servant at they sacred feet
That I may see.......they wonderous deeds,
To make me bow and worship thee?
***********************

How bright is the light and dim is thy soul, not to know me then but to know me now.

For I was born onto thee as a servant then without a crown or with a  gown.
You saw me then as you see me now, for I was then as I be now. but with a crown.

I washed you down and wiped your brow, knelt thee down on the ground
And cleaned they ground that ye were proud.
You saw no crown and made no  sounds
For I was worn and decrepid be...... from all the work which harassed thee.

************************

Oh noble king forgive me, for I  know the truth that be.
I saw thy soul as well as thee, but could not see because of thee.
I saw your rags of beggars past, your humble knees all scratched and beat.
And not to know that we may meet?
Let me be O' sacred king....... a symbol of  great defeat
That man may know that we are souls and born again from times of old.
So I carry my cross that this may cross.
To know that what we sow we reap
That man, in all  his fragility..... is nothing more than fertility to the ground  that he worships on.

*************************
Bare down they weight upon the ground oh noble sir and carry not your  load.
No fruit or sand, nor cloth of hand can work within the soul of man.
No eyes nor ears are born of fears, that wedge between our gospel years.
To learn what's great,
That be our fate
Lest we die and see our hate.
