I wondered the field both night and day, And was taken up by the hand of a ley, who paved the way. He showed me my brother sister and mother, Who fed me good fruit, wine and laughter. Then sadness hereafter came the darkness and madness, As men of the cloth were captured in rapture, How men behave and laws are obeyed. Beezers for Jesus and Jewish teasers... Buddha for your buddies and even your Hubbies. The book is the rule yet nobody rules; Except the sword in the field, as the cannon balls yield The bodies I saw clutching the straws of the corn, All laboured and worn from too much talk. Of religion they sought from an end of a word. For God and your country by the dust of your gentry. Then the sun blazed down on the hardened ground, Sown with seed and dead man's greed. Where a poppy field grew all red with hues, From the blood that oozed by a clerical stooge. Beauty astound....there was no more sound. The power of God makes no sound. In the hearts of men he can be found, All silent and still like the ground that we till By George |
