I was inspired to write this when I read a brief biography of Rick Husband, the pilot of the Columbia flight. I stood many an hour Gazing at the stars Going round on their respective paths And I, I saw God In the vast universe He created And then I ascended myself Up into the sky To be next to God’s universe And I, I saw God As looked down on the earth He created And as I descended, God saw me He loved me, and so He took me On the wings of light and flame To be part of God’s universe And I, I saw God Face to face Oh, make me Thine forever And should I fainting be Lord, let me never ever Outlive my love for Thee [This message has been edited by LoveBug (02-28-2003 11:55 PM).] |

Love - One day when we all see God's face it will be so incredible. I like this poem because it is written like a journey, a sort of adventure. I too find God in the sky because to me it's vastness is the closest thing, although not remotely close to, the magnitude of our father. Can't wait to see him. Thanx agian.. and God bless you - Tim He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Proverbs 28:26 |

And when I look at the stars, also I see God. Beautiful tribute. Jason |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Erica, God Bless You, sweet friend, this brought tears to my eyes as I am sure he really did see Him when floating up in Andromeda where His loving heart shines and telling him his loved ones will be alright and he'll always be with them! (wipes tears) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Erica, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! I love the voice that you give to Astronaut and Commander of the space shuttle Columbia's final mission, U.S. Air Force Col. Rick Husband. As I read, His life long dream was to be an astronaut. Since he was only four years old, Col. Husband did all that he could do and learned all that he could learn to fulfill that dream. What a wonderful thought you share here and what a truly exciting transition that will surely be from seeing God in His creation (The earth, moon, stars, galaxies, etc. etc.) to seeing God one day face to face. WOW!!! I can only imagine.... Thanks for sharing your poem and your thoughts here with us and God bless you my poet friend. -Bob |

Outstanding, and I, I saw God. Very nicely done. I'd place a frame around this one. |

Erica... words fail me. Beautiful. Sometimes you find a friend where once there wasn't one. Sometimes you find a love where once there was a friend. |
