More Than Gold What is the worth of a long, long life If when that long life ends One has more than enough of earthly wares But is devoid of friends? When I am called before the Lord To kneel at his Holy Throne, I hope to report I have treasured love Over anything else I may own. The love of family and friends Is a treasure beyond compare. The longest of lives would pass unmarked Without family and friends who care. Joyce |

How very true are your wise words. Valued friends cannot be purchased, so having them reflects the real you! You are a treasure beyond not only funds, but words. Thank you for this lovely piece. God bless, Rae |

Joyce, A very wise and beautifully expressed poem and I do agree with you whole heartedly that it's very very true what you’ve written in that, far beyond what this world can ever offer us as far as the material things, Friends and Family truly truly are the Greatest of All Treasures. Amen. Thanks for sharing and God bless, -Bob |

Amen to the truth Unfortunately many people treasure earthly goods more than love. It's good for all of us to be reminded, and nice to read the message in such a beautiful poem I can see your life is rich and full Take care Love, Liz |

A sweet and lovely piece; without friends, we are nothing, especially when we don't have Christ within our circle of life; simply wonderful! --Joe Logic, when applied to people, fails miserably! --Joseph J. Breunig 3rd |

An enjoyable piece and reminder; there's so much more to life than g-o-l-d; nicely written. -Joe Breunig, Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory Logic, when applied to people, fails miserably! --Joseph J. Breunig 3rd |
