Are trees thrilled to be here ? I mean, I see them huddled together and sense their mischievous haughty delight.
A joke or plan that only they, or so they think, understand.
But I see it.

They breakout in blissful dance, eyes closed, swaying back and forth, feeling but not knowing the Sufi masters in the sky.
And why not ?
A middle aged creak is a small price to pay to play with the wind.

At dusk they rest.
I see it.
Did the idea of trees, at one time at least, notice that a spirit thought form, such as themselves, could find an unexplored niche, such as it were, in materiality, such as it was, wherein they can use certain nutrients, chemicals and enzymes to experience the 3d world in a treey way ?

What a hoot !

Was it their idea ?!

Word has it, there was an opportunity and they took it.

A Maple, breaking oath, hinted that they're thrilled at expressing their love of the Creator, by expressing creativity themselves.
Her uncontainable joy compelled her to share.
I don't blame her.
Some say trees long to be more but a sapling told me they're smarter than that.
Envy of tomorrow detracts from today.

"….. a tall perennial woody plant having a main trunk and branches forming a distinct elevated crown; includes both gymnosperms and angiosperms "

"Ha !
They bought it !
.........pffff"

A pine said to a willow, once, when I was on the back nine.
(I spend a lot of time with trees while golfing, if you know what I mean. Poem on sand and water to follow. )

" 'gymnosperms and angiosperms' ? Which one of us arbres added that part ? Good one ! " was uttered somewhere in the woody throng.

The plan is working.

They're doing it !
Rest assured, they're doing it.
They're standing tall and proud in God's Creation.
And they're standing on their own two feet. (You were expecting 'roots' perhaps ?)

Some say that spirit, in this case the group mind of trees, will evolve upwards to a more aware state to commune with the Creator.
Maybe the tug of appreciation from more elevated beings like birds or Liberals, well birds anyways, coaxes the desire to embrace a different expression of Creation next time around.

Complete propaganda !

To say that God created them is redundant, of course.

But I tend to think that they created themselves.
God would not refuse them that pleasure,
…… reliable sources tell.

Welcome to Pip!

Your ponderings on trees are intriguing, I never resist reading about trees, they make our life possible. And I believe they are quite aware of their role in creation and they have reason to be proud of this role!

Love,
Margherita

What an interesting slant on our oxygen providers.  There are indeed, many lessons to be learned from evergiving trees.

Welcome to the family of friends!

God bless,
  Rae
