Hush now your soul.
Shut off all distractions of the heart.
Tarry not in dark and secret places.
Wake up from the stupor of life, passive,
brimming with surfaces of terror.

Tread softly on moss carpet.
Find a favorite spot in the woodlands.
Feel the soft breeze that stirs the leaves and flowers,
Lie on the grass to gaze at the bluest of skies.
Let Him reach to you in this intimate moment.

Open the inaccessible passages of your mind.
pour out to Him the yearnings and joys,
the urgent need for your spirit to be healed-
all the things that fill your life.
In His presence, are these really so important?

Are you not a mere pebble in a stretch of sand?
Or one raindrop that falls and vanishes into the lake?
Still you persist in pushing yourself into His presence
if only to touch the hem of His garment as He passes by.
hoping He will turn His face, smile and speak to you.

And He does! He stretches out His hand to touch you.
And your soul awakens to sunshine and birdsong,
feels the majesty and wonder, breathing in
the gift of perfect beauty - of living, and being
in His presence.

(smiles) Yay! Oh Josefina, this is so gorgeous, we are all sparrows of God and He will always feed us all and sing sweet songs we will learn and warble happily throughout time, yay!
