Lord I am tired of pushing this merry-go-round I am out of breath The never ending trips around it’s circumference Are wearing me down I am stuck in the rut I feel My own feet have made I feel like I am caught in A track that has no end Seeming it goes on for eternity Caught in a centrifugal force Can I escape it’s gripe? Can my hands let go of the bars? If so Will I be hurdled head first Into another realm? Will the new realm Be any less stressful? Will the reason for my continued endurance Be for any better reason? My Lord says I will help you push The spinning will go on For as long as it is necessary The reason Is not yours to know On this earthly realm My love endures When it is time for you to let go The spinning of the circle Will slow I will take your hand, Gently help you Out of the circular path That you have trod I will let you rest in my arms Only then will I show you the reason why Your efforts were required *** For now we see through a glass darkly but then, face to face; now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known, and now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but, the greatest of these is love. |

How aptly you've described the trials we work so hard to get through or over while seemingly making no progress. Ahhh, the relief when Jesus relieves us of the strain! I really like this piece. God bless, Rae |

This is quite profound. We try so hard to find the reason for it all, when God is in command and there is no need for us to know yet. Joyce |
