Dear Lord,
I don't want fame,
I don't want money,
all I ask of you
is to help me
help others

Dear Lord,
I want to be like you
give food to the hungry,
and care for the sick.
I want to love as you love
and to live as you live

My Lord,
I want to bring others to you
I want to shed light
I want to lead others away
from the darkness
from the fright.

I want to stop all the violence
I want to help save the world
but Lord, help me first
Understand myself

What a Wonderful fist post. WOW!!!
You expressed here a very sweet and tender heart
(very humble and Godly) and I believe that a  prayer
like this one is truly music to God’s ears and will most assuredly
be answered and I do, also, think that  you made a Great point at the end of
your poem— It truly truly does all begin with us at the center most parts of our hearts because
the most simple acts of kindness and of humility of which you’ve expressed in this poem
do indeed go a long long way in beginning to make  this world a much better place. Amen.
