This is probably not exactly what Bob had in mind. It was though, what I was dreaming of when I wrote it. "Dreaming of my everlasting" Dreaming of the everlasting, in the quietude of a warm summer day I find repose and in meditation, my thoughts wander far away Beyond to where the sky appears, charmed with billowy clouds of white There to bask in glorious visions of celestial light A canopy of sapphire blue, majestically veiled in ethereal beauty The soul ventures into the mystical realm of fathomless mystery And as all dreams coalesce into one, in the everlasting ethers What is it like to see, through the eyes of forever Perhaps it is not meant for a mortal man to know Or is it the viable destination of our very soul Marvel and wonder nonetheless, for the river of life flows there And the clouds are they not sailing off into somewhere So fly, o soul fly, fly exultantly ever so higher Into the deepening blue skies of purifying fire To the land transcending time, where the sinless angels are Beyond the sullen shadows of the valley, earth and star There where the Word is Faithful, and love is true Where all things are become. now and forever as new And the very atmosphere will radiate and shine Touched by Omniscient Presence of the Eternal Divine Next challenge, "Someday soon, may we all be there"... |

Josh, To be honest, I don't know exactly what I was expecting here but, regardless of what that might have been, your poem surpassed anything that I could have possibly imagined and was to me most Wonderful! most Glorious! and most Picturesque! God has blessed you with a Heavenly talent my poet friend and thank you (thank you) for sharing it here with us. -Bob |
