A June Day Cometh A June day doesn't always come in June; Sometimes it skips up merrily to May And often in drear February's gloom, There comes an unexpected June-like day. The loss of astronauts and happy skiers, Taken from us on this February One; Forbodes only dolorous days ahead But God says after darkness comes the sun. Wail on dear weepers, God be with you But keep room for a small, dim, ray of light. God is still beside you in your sorrow And one June day will help to make it right. For every non-fatal wound we're given, The healing starts as soon as it's received. Already God's angels are conspiring For ways in which your sorrow is relieved. It may be in planning for a wedding, Or looking forward to a welcome birth. Joys will come to you, both large and small, As proof that God has June days left for earth. Today the groundhog mayn't see his shadow; But there is not a doubt some day he will. And so to you dear sorrower I say, God's planning June even as teardrops spill. By Joyce 02/02/03 |

Joyce: A wonderful, comforting poem. I thought of you and your family when I read about the second avalanche accident. We are all going to need a lot of "June days" this year! Betty Lou Hebert |

Acknowledging still your recent loss of a loved one, I believe that this poem is written from your own personal experience and that is what makes your poem here so very special to me --full of faith and promise.... I do believe it is true what you have written. For even in our darkest of hours, GOD still has a glimmer of shining Hope (A June Day) for each of us. I appreciate your continued trust and enthusiasm expressed here toward the Lord. Just to let you know, I live in the San Joaquin Valley and we had probably a month or so of overcast weather and fog straight until February 1st... That's when the sun first came out, and the sun is still out and shining bright today. I guess we're having a little bit of June.(Smiles) Let's hope that the sun is heading up your direction next. (Amen) Thanks again, my friend, for sharing and being here with us. At times, you are most definitely the needed spark of June that we need around here. GOD bless you. -Bob |
