I wrote this in December, but i was reading through my old journals and i found this and so i wanted to share it. It is one of the few poems that i have written and that i have shared, that is about the way i feel. I wrote this the night i saw my first ever shotting star. I was so amazing. Stars Sparkling, shining I look to the sky The site of the stars Makes my heart cry My head doesn’t get it But my heart understands Something out there is bigger The creator of man How big He must be To make each of those stars Yet how loving and kind To heal each of my scars He sees the whole world He sees future and past And watches over it all The little and vast And yet here I sit So tiny and small Yet to Him I’m precious A porcelain doll Stars shine so bright As I look to the sky The magnificent site Makes my heart cry Yet He still sees me And each little tear His hand reaches out To calm my fear Peace washes over Love fills my heart A loving Father Grants a new start Over and over He calms the sea Yet He still cares enough To calm the storm in me |

greeneggs-n-ham I can certainly understand your being inspired by such an awesome sight as a shooting star. There is definitely something most awe-inspiring and, yet, that makes one feel quite insignificant and small when looking up at the stars and the vastness and complexity of God's creation... and it's equally amazing, to me anyway, that even within that vastness and complexity of the universe, God still understands and knows everything about us. WOW! Anyway, you wrote a Great poem about the Power of God and the Awesomeness of His creation. Thanks for sharing and God bless, -Bob |

It seems impossible to gaze at the stars and not think of our Creator. I like this work you've posted. Looking forward to more. Rae |

I must agree with my two friends above, as it is simply impossible not to feel extremely small in this world when you look "up." Nicely done. |

I found this to be such an inspiring piece. It truly does remind us of just how small we are in the grande scheme of things. I am so pleased, that you chose to share this lovely write with us. |

I, too, am always amazed by the night sky and have witnessed many shooting stars and even a meteoroid landing in the distance. M |
