I am taking the challenge because it triggered a memory of when I was a child. An old song "Powe, power, wonder working power, in the blood of the Lamb...." Wonder working power I've heard that song before My mama sang it in a church I didn't know what for. I heard her sing all of my life but they were all just songs I didn't understand them but I learned to sing along. But now that I am older and now I know the Lord I sing them all myself now for all I can afford I raise my hands in worship and know His tender love I sing of power that comes thru prayer from my Father up above. "I sing because I'm happy I sing because I'm free" those words I sang so long ago now mean the world to me. as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. |

lacydee, ...in the precious blood of the Lamb... for His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me... It's a small world (not intended as a song). This was a Beautiful poem and I must admit that, when I first saw these words and was challenged (as you were) to write a poem that began with them, the same song came to my mind. I also love the song that you ended your poem with and I must say that you've really left me singing out loud here and my heart singing within. Here is a poem that I wrote that I know you will really enjoy reading....His Eye is on the Sparrow Good job and thank you for taking part in the challenge and God bless you my friend. -Bob |

This is so very heartwarming. How true it is that we learn to utter the words without understanding as a child. As we grow, we find meaning in them and rejoice in thankfulness. God bless, Rae |

Thank you both, Bob and Rae, I appreciate your encouraging comments. It just came to me the minute I saw the words. When we went to Niagara Falls a few years ago, the words, "Power, Power, wonder working power" came to my mind when I saw God's awesome power in the falls, and knowing that wasn't an nth of His great power!!! Thanks again, lacydee as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. |
