"Afternoon in june" It was a lovely afternoon, one day in june When the earth and creation reached its perfection in bloom A peaceful feeling filled the air as a gentle wind Rustled through the leaves that now appeared, upon the trees, with their garment ot deepest geeen And a host of clouds gather about so astoundingly pure and white, as they appear to be sailing heavenward, beneath a sky of quiet blue There do I lie in meditation in the state of being, with nothing really on my mind but the thoughts of God in heaven By the open sea, the waves rushing to the shore And the sun glistening upon the water, gives rise to images of visions of angels Looking far out into the deep beyond the mist of heaven's veil, the gates of paradise appear to open, As the angels carry you away on a beam of light And find yourself at an instant before the Lord at his bosom in his glorious throne And ask the Lord about the day when I shall be by His side When the things in this present life, shall come to pass To be one in His love, forever and evermore. |
