A Poetry Challenge to All at this Site... |

Though the following poem is an acrostic type poem, I first began to write this poem as a result of a challenge presented at another poetry site to write a poem where the first line of the poem would begin with the sentence “wonder working power.” This challenge seems to be a big hit at the other site and it might do well here as well, Soooooo…. If anyone would be up to accepting a challenge, I would like to challenge you to write a poem, any type of poem, that begins with the first line “of all the miracles I’ve known” and then, when you are finished writing and posting your poem, please, leave a first line or a challenge for the next person to write a poem about. Wonder Working Power Wonder working power Often happens when we pray No matter what the hour During any given day Even in the midst of doubt Regardless of our race Windows blessed from God swing out Once we begin to face Religion, Pride, and Envy Killing, and of such I know the world would prospered be Not giving in so much… God, now, I ask your blessing Please, cleanse us, Lord, I pray Of all of our confessings Wrong doings we’ve displayed Enter us, Center us, Restore in us today.
