Jesus, God in Sandals Jesus, God in sandals, to whom we can relate our burdens and our sorrows when in a troubled state is one who has well known us and been where we have been for walked He in our trials and conquered o’er our sins. Jesus, God in linen draped loose about his chest, who never bogged in worry or never was obsessed is one who has well helped us and kept us from regret for took He on our sentence but never broke in sweat. Jesus, God in shackles about his wrists and feet, who scourged for our transgressions and for our sins was beat is one who has well Loved us with tender loving care and leads us on toward Heaven until we meet Him there. I love the way you've presented Jesus interchangeably as God. Seems the names are usually used separately although we know they are 2 offices of the Holy Trinity. Wonderful thoughts. Rae |

I loved the title..I can picture vividly God who took our human form, walked the earth to show us the way to live life. Jesus who loved us to his death on the cross..this poem just write for the season of Lent, just passed. |
