"Isle of evermore" Walking down through the green fields in days of summer Looking at the daisies with smiles of sunny beams As soft white clouds above, are sailing off into forever Would my spirit be one with theirs in joyous dreams The bells of Saint Gabriel's chime in the distance Echoes carry through the vast expanse into future years And a gentle wind blows, as it draws the veil in visions of heaven Where dwells the Eternal, as He calls for all to hear Time, time, time These are the days of your life From the moment you are born To the day that you die In an instant, time will seem to fly Time, time, time Is there a meaning to life Mortal You do not understand why Crossing the bridge of the great divide Following the sun as it casts shadows across the valley A journey to the land in a faraway shore Clear are the waters, waves of the open sea As they flow into the uncharted isle of evermore There in the stillness of the air you can feel the presence Of the mysterious unknown from the dimension of the divine In this plane, far away from the cares of the world Would my spirit be one with yours in airs of joy sublime |

Welcome Deep Blue, Welcome to "Passions" and I must say that your first post was a most expressive and excellent poem and I thought that it reflected your name, Deep Blue, very very well. So serene. So beautifully serene. As I interpreted it, your poem began with bells ringing that no longer ring (The bells of Saint Gabriel's) and you were visiting a time, a place, and a people who no longer exist and so my experience taken from your poem was much more surreal and perhaps a bit more haunting. I loved it! Anyway, for me, it was a wonderful wonderful spirit journey. God bless, thank you for sharing, and I hope that you will return to share more of your Amazing talent. -Bob |

Hi Joyce, thankyou for your nice reply. I have written much poetry addressing existential issues, some which are directly related to Spirituality. I will post some of them. |

Hi Bob. thanks for the big warm welcome and for the wonderful feedback, I take it as a compliment. I won't take away from your interpretation, only that I was going through reflections of life. the past.present and to where GOD is leading me to that place beyond earthly view in eternity. |
