Oh How He Loves Even Me

If there is a premise by which friendship is conceived,
I am sure it is from divinity at least that’s what I believe.
Know one has loved me more than the Father through his Son,
When on the cross of Calvary He died and said that it was done.

But since I wasn’t there I’ve had to take a look around,
And see what other’s offer in the way of friendship that is sound.
I haven’t had to look far to see examples of what He did for me.
My faithful, loving, loyal, patient wife is a positive proof to see.

And of course there are so many friends that I have learned to trust,
Because of long-suffering, tenderness and generosity all without a fuss.
And there are so many who demonstrate the truth of God’s free grace.
It doesn’t seem to matter where I go they are in each and every place.

So it takes no imagination from my heart to sing the old refrain,
Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so,
Little ones to him belong they are weak but I am strong.
Yes Jesus loves me, Yes Jesus loves me, Yes Jesus loves me,
The Bible tells me so.

And Jesus loves me this I know for we share friends who let me know,
From their Bible they learned the truth and no matter how weak they are strong.
Yes Jesus loves me, Yes Jesus loves me, Yes Jesus loves me,
But not just because the Bible tells me so,
Jesus loves me this I know because he sent you to tell me so.

Knowing He loves us, everything else in life becomes managable. Thank you for sharing this great reminder.

Although there have been moments when I have forgotten this, true friends have reminded me and pulled me through because they were called to. Thanks for the reminder
