Peace, one and all...

This is my first post here. My apologies for any inadvertant mistakes.

You are a Pearl, You are a Jewel

You feel so alone and so lost,
though you are a pearl.

You feel so worthless
and bereft of all value,
and yet mountain, tree and stream
smile in awe of you.

You feel so cut off from all around you,
though in truth,
you have but to reach forth
and the Beloved
would make worlds for you.

You have spent your life listening to others
speak of your foolishness
and the ugliness of your soul,
but you are a jewel,
a star shining in this dark void.

My friend,
you have but to open your eyes
for all creation
to speak of their Love for you.

Therefore, hold fast to hope,
hold fast to Love.

I like those lines. Although I am not sure if the "pearl" that you are describing is this friend of yours.

Welcome to the forum, too. Although I joined here years ago, I don't get to visit here often - my loss, as I find so many kind and caring writers here.
