This is written about a difficult time in my life, but is now in the past. Bring on the Spring Here in the winter of my soul, I grope for things to make me whole. To gather in each scattered part And to repair my shattered heart. Where is the glue to hold me fast And make me functional, at last? No weeping eyes, no sobs and cries. No trembling hands, no heavy sighs. No indecision or despair. No lethargy or vacant stare! A door in life is closed to me, But surely God has plans to see That I resume a useful place. Contribute to the human race. New strength is coursing through my veins. God is always at the reins! Bring on the spring, the summer, fall. I lived through winter, after all!
