Oh My Love, Part 4 I could not tell how long it was But one day I could see, And as I looked with strained eyes Guess who was looking at me. She was the most beautiful That I had ever seen, Dressed in that pure white dress So perfect and so clean. And as she spoke to me that day I told her I had heard, Her wonderful voice all this time Every single word. “I know you”, she said to me “And I told the doctor so”, She told him I was her neighbor What a surprising blow. I did not think she ever seen Or knew a thing of me, But then to find she felt the same And was afraid to be so free. She was a nurse and she cared for me All the time I had dreamed on, “They’d been afraid you wouldn’t return “And that you was truly gone.” “Oh My Love, had they only known “If they told me you loved me, “I would have come back so fast “Quickest recovery they’d ever see.” My baby now is finishing school, And one job she gave up, (We need more time you see) And overflowing is our cup. Many times we walk through rough waters And may drop to deaths near clutch, But when we grasp the Hand of God We live far better by His Touch. His Love gives us Victory!
