Double Blessing Blessing we don't see ahead of time Life is what mom wanted to give And from within he tries to live. The doctor’s try so hard to win But something’s wrong from within. After many hours of sweat And pain that really can’t be met, The baby’s born wrong side up Over flowing is her cup. Now she’s resting thinking it’s done And very happy with her son. But then the pains come once more. Again they roll her out the door. She screams and cries and fears she’ll die And looks to heaven asking, “God Why?” But God doesn't take life He only gives Within her womb a baby lives. Hours later she rests again But now she has two little men. A double blessing she has bore Quite a life she has in store. Blessings from above are many Do you feel you haven’t any? Life is such that we must give Before we ever learn to live. By, Marie D. Glass by, The Rhymer Author's Comments: "We are so tempted in life to blame God for everything instead of trusting Him that in the end we will know that everything that happens will help us in some way or another. Some learn right away as in this poem, but others will never know till they have a chance to ask the Lord in heaven. Trusting Him is the Key to Happiness." |

TWO!!! WOW!!! This was truly a 'Double Blessing' from God. Being a Father who's seen three of my four children born, I can testify without a doubt that there isn't much more that's much more miraculous than the birth of a child and having a newborn to take care of and to nurture definitely has a special way of giving one a new perspective on life.
