MARRIAGE SEX AND ROMANCE

“Some other time, I’m not in the mood
Why cant we just cuddle and watch TV”?
When couples drift into the celibate zone
It’s not long till someone will flee.

Sexual fulfillment helps preserve love,
Parenthood, marriage and self-esteem.
Those who maintain it avoid saying no
To be blessed by its pleasure and gleam.

While dating we tend to be more romantic
Putting forth the best of our charms.
Sharing dinners, long walks, and lustful weekends
As we spend more time in each others arms

How many times have you said “not tonight”?
Exposing your happy home to harm.
Today’s crushing deadlines leave little time for love
Leaving partners with sorrow, sadness and alarm.

So share one another with red wine and time
Dial your own number and leave the phone off the hook.
Enjoy some romance, sex and laughter
Improving your mood and the way you look.

Very Good Poem and written well. Your message so true too. When we get to thinking that special time together is in front of the tube... something has snapped within. Great write.

Hugs,
Marie

I really really liked the content of your poem and I think that it's Great that you've included it here on the "Spiritual" side of "Passions" because I do feel that "Marriage, Sex, and Romance" do not only affect the way a person looks (big smiles) but they do also affect in a Huge way one's spirit.

Thank you for your thoughtful counsel and God bless.
-Bob

Yes, finding this in Spritual indicates a healthy Godly relationship.  It's sad when  romance dies and the excitement of being together, holding hands, smiling, laughing and surprising one another is gone.  Seems things don't remain there, but nosedive into disrespect, unhappiness, resentment, blame, etc.

I really enjoy your poetry, Tom.

   God bless,
      Rae

I agree. Sex is a way to show love in a relationship. Its something that the church should be willing to talk about in an appropiate manner. As a woman, many of us have talked about how unsatisfied we've been because men tend to be selfish. If men and women both dont agree to show love, it usually causes a division in marriage. God called us to submit and that doesnt JUST mean have sex, it also means to give satisfaction towards each other. I dont think men realize when a woman isnt satisfied, she feels unloved and violated of a sorts and this is true for men too. ~Raven
