Lord, you are my strength, My anchor in a sea of despair. When I am drowning and fear there is no one to help me, I hear your voice telling me to hold on. You are the first person I talk to when I wake and the last, at the end of the day. You are my family, and as such, you forgive my temporary lapse of faith when I lash out at you, when things go awry. When I am in pain, I remember your suffering on the cross and I am humbled. I do not presume to understand why things happen the way they do, I only trust that in your wisdom, There is a reason. You are hope, you are salvation, you are love. You gave your life for us so that we might be saved and someday, I hope to meet you face to face, to thank you for this sacrifice and show you...you did not die in vain.
