DAFFODILS Tall swaying daffodils, In golden bloom, With shining faces Lit up by the sun. One of many flowers That nature grooms To an individuality, For each and every one. Elegant and slender, With slightly bowed heads, Running and ruling The springtime lands. Some growing wild, And some in tended beds, Well-cared for With gentle, loving hands. Each one is a sample Of God's perfected work, For the minutest detail Of each growing thing. From the tiniest petal To the tall green stalk, A flower such as this, Makes the heart want to sing. Surely, such beauty, Must bring with it, peace, Peace of the heart, Of the soul, of the mind. And with it must come The gentle release Of the doubts, And fears we forever find In the hours of our each And everyday living. So dear God, Please be forever giving, The tranquility of such As the daffodil bloom, To cast aside despondency, Despair and gloom. If we traveled backwards, from end to beginning, would the road, I wonder |

Dear Spirit, such a peaceful poem - makes one remember God is everywhere, esp.in the things He has created - in the bounties of Nature. We don't need to look elsewhere. |

Dear Spirit. In the spring I will have sixty acres of beautiful daffodils in the fields around my house. They are indeed one of my favorites and you have described them beautifully. Joyce |

sweet, sweet poem about lovely flowers the underlining is a unique thing, a bit distracting, but that may "just be me" is it like your "signature?" if so, I'll just have to get used to it, eh Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Thank you all for nice words. Yes that is the signature I have going at the moment, always subject to change. Ever done those maze puzzles? cannot finish it, then go to the finish and work backwards and you will probably finish it quite easily, that is where the thought came from. If we traveled backwards, from end to beginning, would the road, I wonder |

(smiles) Oh Das, this is lovely, sweet friend, this made me smile imagining a bumblebee kissing a daffodil and spreading friendliness and purity through springs smile! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Das, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! SPIRIT: A lovely poem and I concur. Daffodils are one of the first and most welcome of flowers in the spring. I feel as you do, that there is such wonder in the intricate detail of everything around us and God has provided a miraculous world for us. Betty Lou Hebert |

It is wonderful that the daffodil was able to transform you in such a delightful way. I love how GOD knows exactly what will bring us inner joy and tranquillity when we come in contact with it.... Very descriptive writing. -Bob |
