Life Life is hallucination, A mirage, An optical illusion. It is a mere sliver of light Between two worlds, One not remembered The other, Unforeseen. It slides past So quickly, A vanishing specter That leaves no shadow. Life! A phantom Is the reality Of today. I am an enigma, even unto myself. |

So true.. as the apostle James said "What is your life? It is but a shadow that appears for awhile and then fades away". After this life all we will have is the grace of God and the things we have done for Him. Well said! Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.--Jesus Christ |

Thank you. If we traveled backwards, from end to beginning, would the road, I wonder |

(big hugggsssssss) Indeed life is a hallucination, nevertheless it can be as real as you want it to be with much promises to bear! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Das, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

This reminds me of my brother. When I was small and he not too much older,he would torment me with, "How do you know this is real. How do you know this is not a dream? But how do you really know? Until I went screaming to my mama. Love, Joyce [This message has been edited by Joyce Johnson (01-18-2003 05:49 PM).] |

I like your concept here that life is but a sliver of light between two worlds. For me, your poem really put in true perspective how this life, in which I have a tendency to put so much emphasis on, is in fact quite short and minimal in comparison to eternity. Nice poem. -Bob |
