To My Friend, My Sister

Two broken hearts
Adrift
Lonely
Walking in the darkness
Of despair

Carrying the weight
Of sadness
Still knowing that
A higher power
Cared

Striving to go on
In spite of the wounds
That were unjustly afflicted
Determined to not let
Satan’s evil deeds win

Giving God the glory
For loving us still
In His great plan
He brought two broken hearts together
Healing the pain
Of betrayal
With God’s love
Two broken hearts
Began to mend

To God I give the honor
Of being my highest friend
But in the form of an earthly woman
He gave me a devoted friend
A woman I now call sister
A bond that will never be broken
For we’ll always be kin

I love you, my friend

I am so very proud to be the woman you love
Songbird. To be your sister in Christ and especially to have you write such a outstanding poem about our relationship It is a testamony to others about how the lord heals each others hearts and brings two very sad people together like a family which christians are to be to each other. I praise God for you and am in agreement with your testimony. I love you too
