LESSONS Life is most certainly A course in survival, Life can be frightening, Not nearly as kind, Or as gentle, or caring As we would Wish it to be. Give and take In our life, A wonderful concept, Although taking more, And giving less Can create problems. And our values, Our 'SELF', Can be mortally lost Or jeopardized, By misunderstanding And gross misuses. Life is certainly A lesson, in patience. In looking at options, Making choices. Life is, Regardless, of wrong twists And crazy turns, An attractive alternative To sitting by the wayside Waiting for IT to happen, While being totally unaware Of just what IT is. We are the adventurers On our own voyages of life, We take many wrong ways To the right path, We are the seekers On a treasure hunt for Inner peace and awareness. I am an enigma, even unto myself. |

SPIRIT: It's certainly true that life is all the things you outline in your poem. I enjoyed reading it. Betty Lou Hebert |

As your poem implies, Life is a Great adventure, and I am truly convinced that what we have already experienced (the lessons learned) are relatively small compared to what adventures still lie ahead in our futures. Thank you. Again, I enjoyed your poetry. -Bob |
