Freedom Entrapped

Freedom, was that entrapment
worry was that not to have
Questions of life
error to a name

To know the day was tomorrow
a life lost in not living
For this was freedom
as if being rich was poor

Unable to climb that mountain
twisted in ways of turn
Fire to embers of flame
never to know the truth

Secrets written
words and hearts assigned
Such was time, such was mind
thinking, maybe it
just could have been
