Candle light flickers with warmth against the cold autumn night Sitting upon the bedside table lifting up a gentle and comforting light Tranquil and calm, it reveals a gleaming, glittery glow Looking down from the table at books full of stories lying below A glaring fire ripples in the stone fireplace by the door Spying on its bright reflection on the newly polished floor Burning with passion and speaking into the silent night Cautiously filling the room with warmth and a delightful sight The fire paints a picture; and extraordinary work of art I feel a fire burning rapidly in my longing heart And as I sit upon a chair near the alive fireplace I am comforted by the feeling that I am saved by grace I now know what the fire is that burns strongly within my heart It’s the Holy Spirit living in me, with whom I’d never part. |

A Fantastic First Post!!! You paint a very warm and romantic mood here as you focus on the Holy Spirit living within you and the fact that you are saved by Grace. It seems to me that the same warm feeling that you experience on the outside is the same as what you experience on the inside when God shows you how much He really truly Loves you. Very good writing and I look forward to reading more of your poetry in the future. God bless. -Bob |
