After we've sought Our own will be done Petitioned the Father And nothing's begun It's time to back up And to try again But with a new focus To a better end. Although you are hurting Worn out from trying Your lot to improve But only end crying, Look not within But look up instead Seek not your will But seek to be lead. Not within man Is wisdom to see What should be done And how things should be The Father alone Who dwells up abvoe He knows your Heart So just seek His Love. Forget what you want It gets in the way Get on your knees And Humbly pray, O LORD I am lost In a terrible night I can't find my way This is a tough fight- I haven't the strength My foes to o'ercome I'm all beaten down Thus to You I've come! Forget what I've prayed I had Me in mind Give me what's Best So Peace I can find Open my heart To new thinking and ways Guide by Your Will My outcome of days. Give me the Faith To trust You complete I yield my will At Your Mercy seat. Form me into What You deem is best And I am sure That I will be Blessed. No more for self Will I try to seek But Trust in You My Life, mold and keep! In Jesus Name, AMEN & AMEN Every Day's a Blessing |

David, It's wonderful to read your poetry again. This was the first poem that I read after waking up this morning and what a blessing it was. What a beautiful prayer to start out the day with. Of course, I think that this is a beautiful poem/prayer, not only because you wrote it, but because of the Spirit behind it... This is certainly, as your title indicates, something that we as Christians should all try and do for to do so is to be as Jesus Christ was before his Father. I think that it is to be more like Jesus to pray as you have prayed here and to say not my will, but Your will be done. Oh, and I do desire so much to be more like Him. Amen. Again, beautiful poetry and I'm very happy, as I think you might have guessed, to read your poetry again. God bless you David, -Bob |

It is indeed a beautiful poem with an important message. I'm shamefully amazed how many times each day, I have to remind myself THY will, not MY will, because when I get involved in something, I tend to forget that. God bless, Rae |
