Thought Waves

Afloat on the glistening seas
Of wonderful, happy memories
The undertow seems nonexistent
Forgotten, behind and distant

In some triggered wave I’m caught
Sinking in emotional thought
Trapped in sharp heart piercing reef
Drowning in opened wounds of grief

Jesus calls, “You of little faith,
Don’t you know with me, they’re safe?”
Believing, I surface easily
Once again, my Lord saves me

You roll on some beautifully memoried waves~

This is simply lovely dear lady~

Sandgrain,

You have written a most beautiful analogy here between the waves and your thoughts. I am reminded by your poem that the Lord is our Refuge. I'm so glad that He does save us and it is such a blessing, as your poem states, to be able to "surface" in Him and under His gentle loving care. Enjoyed reading.

God bless,

-Bob

Thanks to each for reading and responding.

Marge, the beauty found on these pages helps me keep my faith

Bob, indeed it's a big relief from fears and woes as we come under our heavenly Father's comfort.

Joyce, seems I'm more touched by His faithfulness when we get down.

Each of you inspire  me.

Well now, I don't have a doubt in my mind that they are not quite safe with him, but it is reassuring to feel you have been given a nudge to further enforce your belief in that fact too isn't it?

Oh, Sharon, my angel.  You've helped me surface so many times.  I'm really doing okay dealing with their deaths, but you know how it is every once in a while some silly little thing can trigger the opening of the wound. Thanks for all your support.

Your pain is powerfully and beautifully expressed here, dear ((((Rae))).

Very poignant too. May you always feel His infinite Love and comforting presence.

Thank you for your kind comment, Margherita.  I always feel so honored when you really good poets take time to read my ramblings.
