I look into your eyes and I see the pain you try to hide
I hold you in my arms and remember the tears you cried

I think of the times you’d talk to me about life
I remember how much you hurt from the strife

Your gone now, you walked away
And now I don’t know what to say

You mean the world to me
But it’s to late for me to make you see

I can’t reach your heart anymore
Because you’ve closed that door

I want to help you through this time
But all I’ve been able to do is write this rhyme

Akira,

It's real nice to see you posting at this site again. Having read most of your poems and having Survived most of the experiences that you write about (Not going into detail here), let me say that this is one of the most difficult things to deal with... Having a person that means the world to you be hurting so much and them not being able to respond to you and your words and/or actions of love and encouragement. Just want you to know that while I am very saddened by the loss of your recent loved one that I am also very happy for you and your new marriage relationship.... Puts a big smile on my face. GOD bless and again very nice to hear from you my poet friend.

I don't know much of the background of your poem. Even without it, I still can feel through your sadness and the hurt. Not to sound trite, time still is a great healer.
