Mother of Jacob

28 April 2006

Her laughter was a smile
her heart an hidden angel
For there she was in debonair being
dressed in a lighter shade of red

The sunlight having blessed her soul
this milky wave of her hair
She was beauty no man knew
but one day, this world would shine

Rebekah, oh Rebekah
the one of all his love
A child of Sarah
the Isaac unto Israel

Mother of Jacob
destiny borne
Rebekah, Rebekah
you were the world begun

“And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had
any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her
pitcher, and came up. Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her, and
go, and let her be thy master's son's wife, as the LORD hath spoken.”
Genesis 24: 16, 51 KJV
