what i needed...
god--how did you see beyond my translucent smile?

(trusting that you will fill me with your
neverending love)
out of these beating hearts

          ...only You

stumbling throughout this darkness,
needing a reason to be fulfilled...
god--how did you know how badly i desired
your love?

Jesus, You are all this beating heart needs
Jesus, Please, Please
...fill my pounding heart
...fill this bleeding wound
...surround me in your presence
...and please
                 ...come soon.

I loved your poem! It needs to be set to music...search for someone to put music to it! Thank you for sharing...one day we may be hearing it on the radio....

An absolutlely lovely poem with such warmth and sincereness in its prayer. I pray God answers your prayer and that He fills the emptiness I see in your words. A very good poem that I enjoyed very much. I love poems that are from the sincerest of hearts.
