1216 In His Presence 01 April 2001 Long ago He walked the earth at a place called The mount of Olives where a line of people formed Where early one morning He came again to the temple As the people stepped forth and next to Him did assemble He sat down and taught them what life was truly about However in the group where those with doubt Forward to His presence was brought a woman taken in scorn as it were Then Jesus said unto them “He that is without sin among you let him first cast a stone at her” “Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” John 8: 5-7 KJV a poet who cares |

Oh how we need to go over this one in practice again and again! AS one said, we may think we have it, only to find we're looking down on those who look down on others. Thanks for the good reminder. Rae |

A true poem showing the unconditional grace and forgiveness of Jesus. I love this Bible story. I think it is the one time Jesus kind of got back at the crowds who were always trying to trap Him. I loved your poem and thought it was great. A great story from a great Gospel. Sheri Adams Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |
