TO THOSE I HAVE LOVED AND LOST

Oh sweet spirits
Swirling within the misty
Shades of time,
I have recognized you
In this life.
I acknowledge you also
In many a past life,
That I do not recollect.

Now,
You are, in this time,
Past, transitioned.
Merely mystical,
A specter.

I accept this fact,
In the knowledge
That we are
Spiritually bonded.
We will be together again,
As sweet spirits,
Swirling within the misty
Shades of time.

I am an enigma, even unto myself.
A puzzle unsolved, a mystery maybe until beyond death. ©das

This is not a sad piece just an acknowledgment that we will meet again with those we have loved and lost on this plain. I like to believe that and have faith in that and that makes me happy, not sad. Thanks for the nice words.

I like that your poem inspires me to look beyond the dimensions of the here and now and what does appear to be. I like the idea here that we are not totally disconnected from those who have gone on before us. Very nice.
