I met Jesus once, a long time ago I loved Jesus once, now I don’t know I fell in love with Him, I didn’t have to change first Just as I am as the song says, He brought an end to my thirst I longed to share his Holy love, with everyone I knew They seemed willing to meet him, but suddenly they withdrew Your Jesus is all about rules... and finger pointing too I can get that in the world, I don’t need it from you Oh could it be? I’ve become a Pharisee I do what is proper and right I wish to be good in God’s sight I cannot let undesirables ruin this house of the Lord Where then would I go to hear his word? Listen child, to what I have to say I wish to have you look at it this way I loved the unlovable, even though they rejected my name All I ask is that you do the same Traditions and regulations built for the respect of the Lord may soon become a prison that would lock out the love of the Lord rather than embrace Him when they become taut with judgment. Oh dear God, please Don’t let me be A Pharisee Written by Melody Lyn Wilson 3/26/03 I love the way God deals with me, though at the time I would argue. |

Oh, how well this advises all who would divide Christians! Very well written. I'm going to send the address of it to someone I know. Thanks for sharing it. Rae |

There's not an ounce of Christs love in some people.I pray I make it in by grace and prayer, because the love is there. You poem is thought provoking. I'm a gentile and I loved it. |
