God looks at me.
yet I, rebellious, turn away.
I hide from His gaze,
compelling me to look back
at Him, put my hand in His.

I am fascinated by a world
glittering, spinning, driving
in a mad race to go somewhere.
When I get there, I am bewildered.
All is empty in the midst of uproar.

God finds a way
to pull me back, to let me know
my place is with Him,
wherever I am.
He looks at my heart, satisfies it
with Himself.

You are right!!! The things of this world are very enticing at times, but they can never satisfy us like the real thing. (Amen) I too am very thankful my friend to our GOD who always has had, has, and will have a place for us to return to. Thank you for sharing and I hope to be reading more from you here at Spiritual.

i couldnt agree with u more.God still wants us and calls for us even when we go astray and look his way no more. he is so loving and such a 2nd chance giving God one could never fathom his grace.stop running .... come nearer to his feet for blessings.
