You Are My All By Paul Wilson You are the beam… of my balance that measures left from right The apex of pendulum’s swing as I rise to new height You are the foundation that will not crumble The cross I could not bare carried by you… ever so humble You are the seed of life my soul the pod Your word will nourish me forever…you are thy God Storms shall come and go causing me too sway now and then With your strength dear God the battle I will win Together we will face satin and the fires of hell The victory will be ours in Heaven with you I will dwell I call the names of the twelve whom you choose to spread your word Help me be strong and true holy one’s I know my prayers will be heard ~ ~ ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |

Especially the way in which you close this poem, there is a strong sense of faith about this entire piece... how in each stanza you identify three aspects of God, and how you come together by saying that you are certain that your prayers will be heard (almost as if you are celebrating the abundant evidence of this, and coming gloriously to your anticipated conclusion). I wonder, in the first three stanzas, I noticed you are discussing three divine aspects of the "beam" (builder, creator), the "cross" (the redeemer), and the "seed" (the spirit). Did you use the trinity as your point of reference, here? Because if you did, it comes across beautifully. I enjoyed reading this. Thanks for the opportunity. Brian |

Brian...I never had any forethought about the three devine aspects you mentioned, but now that you have enlightened me I can see your thinking. Glad you opened my eyes and thanks so very much for reading and for you reply. I just wrote this from my heart and with the words given to me my the creator. Thanks again...Paul Sorry for the late reply, due too hurricane Katrina this is the first time I've had any computer time. |
