Jesus Christ is worthy Of our praise for all of time For He paid the penalty For each and every crime. Throughout all the ages Only Christ has suffered death For He gave up willingly His life, His living breath. We didn’t wound Him once Because once was not enough It took all five punishments To satisfy our huff. His back, His hands, His feet His head and then His side All were wounded for our sins And for our souls He died. He suffered for us all And we’ll never really know the true measure of His love But now He offers hope. He paid the highest price And He’s calling out your name Don’t deny His sacrifice It’s your life; not a game. Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |
